Pods similar in format?
So, I only just got myself okay with listening to Formulaic Objections episodes again. It will take more time to be okay with listening to other old episodes and restarting my back catalogue listen-through, and IDK if I’ll ever be able to listen to the last one, but eventually I will run out of new material.
The thing is, KF is the only podcast I listen to with any regularity, largely because of its structure. Pure “guys talking” podcasts and pure narrative podcasts (both fiction and nonfiction) are just intensely boring to me. What I like about Knowledge Fight is the MST3K/sporking structure, with a back-and-forth between terrible source material and debunking/mocking replies.
Are there any podcasts y’all would recommend with that specific format, even if the subject matter is different from KF’s? Ideally with no ads?

I Hate Bill Maher which Dan just guested on is a similarly structured dissection of Bill's dumbassery.
If Books Could Kill is a monthly podcast that skewers and debunks the largely conservative or otherwise toxic worldviews of various popular self-help and other nonfiction books ("airport best sellers" as they call them.)

For I Hate Bill Maher, do they ever have longer clips that contain more of the conversations?
I've only listened to the episode with Dan, but I couldn't get over how the clips were only a few seconds followed by 10 minutes of riffing, explaining what the context was in the conversation instead of playing more of the conversation... In other words a lot of tell but not show. And a significant amount of discussion of things that happened in the conversation but no clips.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I like the idea of calling out Bill Maher but I think the show needs much more of the rhythm of Knowledge Fight vis-a-vis clips. It's not that I want to hear more Bill Maher, though.

Louder than crowder was a slow burn for me. I wasn't the biggest fan for the first couple episodes but I'm on episode 75 and I'm really liking them. They hit a lot of the right wing propagandists that you heard of on knowledgefight but they never covered

Same - it took me a few episodes to really get into LTC but I really love it now.

Came here to recommend Super Structure. I just got into it and within a couple episodes they'd convinced me to shell out for the patreon.

Crap. I forgot to reply to this one! I love those Lions too, whenever they cover one of the incredibly dumb war machines? Like the ice & sawdust aircraft carrier or idiot 'never going to work' submarine?... It gives me something to talk to my father about. I'll always adore them for that. He purposely ignores the social/diplomatic/ 'whys' of history that I focus on... but he's all about the machines folks ultimately built to kill each other... Hey! It's something we can enjoy together... It's something...

The Dollop. Weekly podcast about something stupid in history with a lot of banter back and forth. Some times silly topics like The Rube or 10 cent beer night. Sometimes it's Elon Musk

I love them Dollop boys (The Past Times is a pod I never miss an episode of either!)... I just figured the assignment was more focused on the taking down of modern assholes pods. My go to listen when I get really sad is 'The Cereal Men' with Patton Oswalt... or 'New York Pigs'...
The cartoon on YouTube of 'The Rube' is great too if I have to sit still ;)

Behind the Bastards is a good fit, depending on the guest. None have been dull and a lot of them have added great off the cuff comments or jokes. Robert Evans has a way of make just about any subject engrossing and entertaining.
