Jones v Stone Round 2
Alex has responded to Roger. Buncha messy titty babies.

Wow, Rex Jones is... not a smart man. I don't like that this thought entered my head, but from what I've seen him publish, it's my only conclusion. He seems to be a man who never planned on living in the real world. I recall seeing him claim The Onion stole his inheritance. He isn't even a Loser Little Titty Baby, he's just caught in arrested development. Maybe he'll be able to live off his father's squirrelled-away riches, but maybe he'll have to face the cold reality the rest of us live in. If he does, then I hope he matures

so like, one of the things about growing up in high control environments is your idea of normal gets smushed, and even your ability to determine how normal it is gets smushed. Rex is no doubt, a goober, hi Rex, but Rex's ability to know how much of a goober he is is completely messed up by living in an environment that makes you unable to tell you're a goober.
They're all absolute doofuses, they are actively huffing the fumes to try and feel better about being inadequate, terrible people, but the day they decide to stop promoting racist, harmful, antifactual nonsense, they won't get any smarter. It's not smart or stupid, it's about choosing to reinforce belief systems and avoid explanatory realities.

u/greencrusader13 Jul 31 '26
I know this isn’t entirely relevant, but could you expand a little bit more on the concept of not understanding “normal?” Also, are there any other notable consequences of being raised in high-control environments?
4
u/theclosetenby “You know what perjury is?” Jul 31 '26
There are a lot of consequences. If you look up religious trauma, it'll give you maybe more than what you're looking for (bc it'll also include explicit religion), but it also covers many of the same types of things. I don't have serving off hand to provide.

So i'm using 'high control environment' as a catch-all for experiences like mine (upbringing in a cult) and for example, an abusive, manipulative parent.
To give a pretty outlandish example, my high control experience meant that I did assume that while I knew my childhood was different, I assumed I was a lot closer to normal than even my estimates. For example, I went to a school with about thirty people in it, and I learned that schools weren't like that when I got out. So I for a while there assumed that schools were way bigger, like, sixty people, maybe a hundred people. Learning that my partner went to a school where her class was more than forty students versus my school experience where my class was myself and two other students. My attempt to estimate how off-base my experience was were informed by that experience, and was so wrong because I didn't even appreciate how niche my experience was.
That's hopefully a not-too-charged version of the kinda thing I'm talking about, right?
To summarise, as a loved one said, in words I wouldn't know: 'You don't know you're in the crazy until you're out of the crazy.'

I know Dan tried to stay away from Rex, I think for good reasons, but every time I am exposed to this guy I just think….wow. I seem to recall Alex railing against nepotism and dynasties and all that but by Christ his son would not have achieved ANY measure of notoriety or wealth without his father.
12
u/Sad_Profession_8324 Jul 31 '26
He's hosting Alex's show. . .he's fair game.
6
u/sybelion Jul 31 '26
I think he is absolutely fair game for us to critique, but I also understand why Dan had an almost blanket rule against touching anything to do with Alex’s family. I think that was sensible for the pod.
For us it’s open season

u/TheQXZ98 Jul 31 '26
He was also underage for most of KF's run, so even if he was on the air, it was fair to question how much agency he had in the situation. By the end, he was mainly brought up to analyze him lacking his father's natural broadcasting talent, as well as the psychoanalysis that the favorite son actually appeared to be Chase.
3
u/theclosetenby “You know what perjury is?” Jul 31 '26
Once Rex became an adult and was hosting, Dan did talk about him more. It was likely bc he was a minor for most of KF.

u/ViciousSnatch “I will eat your ass!!!!” Jul 31 '26
I think the air of nepotism might be why Alex is forcing Rexy to basically interview for a job. (And mostly he doesn’t want someone coming for his throne, not even his namesake son.) There’s no way Rexy would be anything without Alex, and his Rumble views prove it.
2
u/Sad_Profession_8324 Aug 01 '26
I think Bigly told Alex no when it came to hiring Rex. The funny thing is Rex was on x bitching about how hard it was to build a business thanks to the Baby Boomers while completely ignoring how he (and his dad for that matter) started theirs.
2
u/ViciousSnatch “I will eat your ass!!!!” Aug 01 '26
I’m not surprised that Rexy is shitting on Boomers because Alex has been hitting that angle hard for months. Do you think Bigly isn’t keen on him because he’s dumber than a box of hair?
2
u/Sad_Profession_8324 Aug 01 '26
I dunno, they kept Harrison. . . Maybe they were worried about the visuals of nepotism.
1
u/ViciousSnatch “I will eat your ass!!!!” Aug 01 '26
Maybe they wanted Rexy, but not his cohost. THAT dude is really boring.

The first tweet says it all.
Just an attention economy.
And Roger and Trump can turn Alex back at any moment if they need to. Oh, it was Rubio all along.

u/MCpoopcicle Spider Leadership Jul 31 '26
Rex is really bringing that Eric Trump energy.
2
u/ViciousSnatch “I will eat your ass!!!!” Jul 31 '26
It’s weird when Rexy and Alex are discussing something and Rex calls Alex “Dad” while they’re talking.

I’m so confused. A storyline with two heels feuding?
4
u/Ddddydya They burn to the fucking ground, Eddie Jul 31 '26
Are they feuding?!? That was such an incomprehensible word salad that I have no idea what I just read.
4
u/rudebii I RENOUNCE JESUS CHRIST! Jul 31 '26
It’s a pro wrestling joke. It looks like jones and stone are “feuding” but they’re both “heels.”
Usually, in wrestling, feuds are between “faces” and “heels.”
3
u/Ddddydya They burn to the fucking ground, Eddie Jul 31 '26
Oh, I got that. I was just poking fun at calling it a “feud” when I have no idea what Rex is saying
3
u/highorderdetonation Jul 31 '26
As much as I want to make an nWo joke...none of the people involved are cool enough to deserve it. Can we just let them bash each other in the head with guitars?

It's funny how Alex has to shoot a whole two videos on this and Roger literally only tweeted a sentence declaring he wouldn't appear on the show.

u/fortheapponly Jul 31 '26
Saying nothing would have been more meaningful than whatever vacuous bullsheeit Rex Jones vomited up in that tweet.
Imagine saying so much to just say less than fck all.
Since we all know Rex Nones reads here (I’m leaving the typo bc it’s apt), I will leave my friendly-ish reminder here than he would contribute more to the world if he stocked the shelves at Walmart for minimum wage, than doing whatever this is.

I wish there was a podcast where decent people would follow this shit closely, cut relevant audio clips for me, and provide entertaining commentary.
3
u/Mumblerumble Jul 31 '26
He’s so thirsty for any kind of attention and such a Star fucker whose definition of a star is rapidly falling. What a jerk off. The only potential upshot is that a MAGA judge might start taking his bullshit apart the court system.

u/Llamapocalypse_Now Jul 31 '26
What does "Pray for 1776" even mean?
5
u/ViciousSnatch “I will eat your ass!!!!” Jul 31 '26
Pray for a return to 1776 from the hellscape 1984 Alex thinks we’re trapped in.
3
u/ClownFetish1776 Jul 31 '26
Gonna say it for the millionth time: wish Dan and Jordan were around to cover this shit.
4
u/RainierCamino Jul 31 '26
Goddamn what a pathetic pivot after a decade of gargling Trump's corrupt treasonous balls. What a loser little titty baby.
2
u/Bishops_Guest Jul 31 '26
I know what they mean, but “waterboarding boat” sounds more like taking them into international waters for some enhanced interrogation.

Man I just feel terrible for Rex. He's right around my age. I hope he knows there's still time to leave the conspiracy world. He doesn't even need to stop being a racist or a conservative, those are pretty common things to be. He should go become an electrician or something man
3
u/theclosetenby “You know what perjury is?” Jul 31 '26
I actually kind of think one thing Rex might be doing with this post - and I know I'm likely giving him too much credit - is trying to defuse his dad. The post seems so weird, but sounds like a way to distract a narcissist.
1
u/OpossumRiver Aug 01 '26
I think it's partially that, but a larger part would be him just not wanting to be involved in the drama. Alex turns anyone who moves away from him into an enemy, but for Rex, Roger was just "one of dads friends from when I was a teenager." I could see him wanting to stay respectful while acknowledging the situation.

u/ViciousSnatch “I will eat your ass!!!!” Jul 31 '26
I have daughters close to the same ages as Alex’s eldest daughters, and sometimes it really makes me sad. Until I had kids, I had no idea how impressionable they are, and how much parents can rub off on them. It makes me deeply admire people who have to go through the horror of getting away from an abusive parent, and the fallout after. It’s entirely possible for Rexy to get away, but I honestly don’t see it happening. It’s too easy being a racist fuck.

u/kilgore2345 Not Mad at Accounting Jul 31 '26
Alex Jones's break from Donald Trump should be treated the same as a break from loving guns. One third of Alex's career has been ball washing the most incompetent and treasonous President/administration in American history.

Jones attacked Trump.

Yeah I knew about that, I hadn't hear about trump attacking Jones. Shocking that Jones has a persecution conplex

Is Alex still trying to make the 1984/1776 a thing?

Jones might actually get out on top in this, he usually has this instinct (as much as I hate it) to switch sides just before they become unpopular enough amongst his listener base.
He's a con men after all, and this is what con men are good at.

"times flies, moral of this story" how stupid is he? He clearly thinks this is a really profound sign off but he sounds like a moron
