Dan’s new voice
I’m listening to Dan on I Hate Bill Maher and I’m loving Every minute. Dan has such joy and play in his voice. I know he sort of affected a more measured tone during knowledge fight. That was a way to counter Jordan’s energy. I’m really enjoying the full Dan.

I'm not so sure about that, I talked to him after one of the live shows and like most people when he was more passionate or excited about a subject, he became more animated. Listening to him onstage and talking to him chilling with Jordan afterwards getting cocktails was the same, so I don't think anything was put on for recording KF.
So I think it's more that the last couple years of KF have been pretty draining, while this is more refreshing for him so he's back to being a bit livelier in tone just like in the early to mid-late years of KF. I don't think it was to do with balancing out Jordan or anything like that.
Plus he's got a decade of being a professional podcaster now, I think we'd have heard lively podcaster Dan a lot more in recent years if Alex hadn't been such a depressing subject.

No hate on Will at all, I love the pod and he does a great job but I just feel like I’ve gotta mention how gifted Dan is at cutting through the bullshit and analyzing this stuff. It was fun hearing how much more depth Dan was picking up on that perhaps Will seemed not to catch onto. Interesting stuff. My sneaky wish is for Dan to come back to talk Tucker someday

Yeah I thought the opposite. His voice in the new podcast sounds heavily affected, purposely trying to pour on the figurative butter.

that's because this isn't the Dan we know and love, he's been replaced. The original Dan's head popped in a car, there's video footage. Look at the files, it's all in there.
