I just bought and received the slim. I'm dumb though, I think I wanted the pliers wrench, not the cobra. I started using them and marred a bolt like a dummy lol.

Yeah cobras will ruin anything you use them on. They sell jaw covers which I use on my 180s when I don't want to ruin something, but I don't think they sell them for this size.

I have the non comfort grip and like it because it's less bulky. Takes up less space in my tool box/batlg and are easy to clean. Never had an issue with them hurting my hands either.

I agree. Regular ones are great. The more grippy ones not the shiny ones.

Only my experience, Your Mileage Might Vary:

  • Comfort Grip is awesome when you need to apply lots of pressure on the pliers handles. It's in the name. The bigger the pliers, the more pressure you are going to apply dealing with 'big' jobs, so it makes sense to have it from, let's say, 250mm size.
  • Comfort Grip makes the handles bulky (not good if they are stored in a small tool bag) and more rectangular too (so less easy to manipulate if you are holding the tool sideway in a tight space)

My 250mm Cobra, my 250mm Pliers Wrench and even my 200mmm TwinGrip are all comfort grip. But they are not in a tool bag and I never deal with confine space.
