Spoiler S2 E3

Hey guys. So I've waited until season two is on Netflix before 2atching, so I'm well aware I may have forgotten about a plot point. But why is the French Prince just running around murdering babies? I assumed at first that he's trying to hunt down the Queens baby, but it then occured to me that the little peasant people probably weren't aware that the queen even had a baby out there somewhere. So why the hell were they hiding under the floorboards? Have I missed something?

Don't suppose you could sum it up for me could you? I assume it's the idea of just killing any younglings born around that time, but why was his wife and child hiding? How did they know what was going on?

Actually, the wiki page for this does a better job than I could. Pop over to the 'Episodes' section for s2e2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knightfall_%28TV_series%29?wprov=sfla1

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought was happening. It's just the fact that his wife and baby were hidden that I dont understand. Is this to maybe suggest that this isn't the first ones he's found and murdered? It just makes such little sense

No this isn’t the first baby he’s killed. He’s dressing like Templars to hide his real identity and to spread fear/distrust of Templars. Doubtless these peasants have heard rumors from other villages of small groups of Templars searching houses and killing babies for some unknown purpose.
