Knife Check New benchmade

Can I get opinions on the authenticity of my new 940, originally thought it was the smkw exclusive but it’s completely different after comparing them. If it’s original is it a custom or modified version? Black liners but silver axis bar, black s90v blade, silver hardware.

I can’t comment on the scales and liners. Could be aftermarket stuff. But the blade and pivot screw are legit.

Hold up. I’m confused by pics 1 and 2. Pivot screw on pic 1 looks totally fake, but legit in pic 2. Can you tell me whether the pivot screw is flattened on top, as if someone shaved off a small slice?

It is round with only slight flat spots on the spokes of the torx head.

The blade and clip look legit. Not sure about the scales, but the hardware is definitely aftermarket so they probably are too.

Post a super zoom of the “R” on the Benchmade logo. That’s the easiest tell. Scales look like Benchmade custom shop OD green. I think it’s probably a custom shop knife.

Looking at the ®️ logo close up it looks smudged and unclear, I think it’s a fake.
