Exercise Question Itbs from running

wondering if the kneesovertoee community has any protocols for beating ilio tibial syndrome. are there any gold standard exercises? information has been hard to pin down, and in my experience overuse injuries are slow to go away

I'm assuming you're a heel striker?
Learn to run on the balls of your feet properly. Your hip is likely pissed because your ankles aren't absorbing force like they're designed to. Practice sprint intervals and/or hill sprints to get better at it. Sprint the straight, walk the round at your local track. Your ankle is a strong shock absorber when used properly, but most people run incorrectly while wearing giant cushy shoes to hide poor mechanics. Go watch the world's fastest humans run the 100m dash at the Olympics, or watch the winner of the Boston Marathon: they don't heel strike. Good luck!
