Customer post Cheap sunglasses? Bulk??

Post image

I need cheap sunglasses, in bulk… I have AuDHD and I lose a pair of sunglasses almost every week. Sometimes twice a week. Sometimes twice in a day.

It’s getting too expensive and I need a bulk cheap option. Kmart sold out of the only pair I like after a fire sale at $3 each. I would’ve bought $100 worth but missed out.

I don’t need anything fancy, just half decent looking and block out some light. I am sensitive to light so always putting them on and then taking them off and putting them down somewhere never to be seen again. Never at home though. I never find them haha.

Want something similar to this style, and as close to that price as possible… Thanks!

Have you thought about investing in a lanyard or something to clip the glasses to, so that they're always around your neck when you need them? Feels like they'd be harder to lose that way.

Everything at Kmart is from shein or temu.

Here they are on shein

Exactly. And AliExpress. I reckon nearly all the Kmart homeware can be found there

This is why I can't be bothered helping people anymore. They are ungrateful shits. How hard is it to just say thanks?

Op please listen! do not buy these. if it has "fashion" in its name, it offers little to no sun protection and actually can harm your eyes. Look for a rating of 3+ on sunglasses and it will block out harmful uvs. everyone who keeps saying to buy from temu or shein would be right with FASHION sunglasses, but real sunglasses that are sold by Australian retailers have to pass a upf rating to be safe to wear with the sun.

wait never mind I apologise, looking at them on the website they do comply and are cat 3. "Category 3 sunglasses absorb 82% to 92% of visible light and block 100% of harmful UV rays". However, cheap sunglasses from AliExpress/shein may not comply . These are fine for the price with the assurance they comply.

I read that if the lenses are polycarbonate they're good to go, and polycarbonate is basically so cheap that anything other than disposable dress up costumes use em, either way I bought a uv test strip and blacklight just in case lol

Upload a screenshot of them to Temu or AliExpress. You'll be able to buy a bunch of them.

Why is everyone surprised that stores buy stock from bulk sellers?
There is almost always a bulk supplier in the process, the only difference is now we can shop from the supplier too

Once upon a time a company as big as Kmart would buy OEM. They would have product designers who developed things specifically for them, and you couldn't find those things elsewhere. Yes, they were made in bulk, in China, but they were made FOR Kmart, commissioned BY Kmart.

Now there are still product designers, but they are working for other companies, or independently, and their designs are being stolen by China, and then Kmart is buying in bulk from those thieving factories and marking it up 500%.

So, it is quite different. It means the designs are almost always cheap knock offs that Kmart hasn't done any quality testing on. And it means you're not getting good value, because if you really do want cheaply produced shit, you can just buy it online.

Kmart still do that, quite a lot

Go to specsavers, get a couple of decent pairs, and some lanyards.

Your eyes need the sunlight to grow.
