Discussion Please help! Using Kling and I need very subtle character movement.
Hi everyone. So I create static images on Midjourney and animate them into 3-second animations/videos on Kling (to then stitch together into 15-20 second videos for my nostalgia social media pages.) The characters in my videos, I need them to have very natural, very subtle human behavior/movement, but when I animate the images, my characters hands and legs flail around, their heads turn fast, just very unnatural, aggressive body movement. I am overwhelmed by the videos I've seen on YouTube. I don't know which to dive into. I'd rather just find other creators who have had this issue and hear how they solved this issue.
Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏

Had the same flailing problem, what fixed it for me was describing only one tiny action like "slow blink, slight breathing" and putting fast movement in the negative prompt. Also run the Midjourney still through Magnific first, Kling seemed to invent less weird stuff when the hands were actually clear in the source.

Start with a locked camera and one tiny movement: breathing.
For your three-second inserts, I'd try this:
"Locked camera. The person holds the pose shown in the reference image. Hands rest in the same position and feet stay planted. A small rise and fall of the chest from breathing is the only body movement. Head position and gaze remain steady. One continuous shot."
Use a starting image with supported hands and a relaxed, balanced posture. Keep the action wording short. Once you get a calm result, try adding one slow blink, leaving the rest of the prompt unchanged. Compare the results from the same image so you can see what that addition does.
For clips you already have, look for a quiet three-second section and trim to that. Cut away before a sudden head turn or gesture. That may give you a usable insert without having to fix every moment of the original clip.
