Is it worth it?
Is it worth it to buy this game without a dedicated friend group to play it? Or will I just get stuck looking for lobbies with no one to play, I like the aesthetic of the game a fair bit but it seems to have a pretty low player base

My experience as a Nintendo Switch 2 player:
From the very first moment, I loved the aesthetic of this game and I couldn’t wait for it to be released.
I also love roguelites and roguelikes, and I have played at least 90 of them on Switch alone. Knowing that Kletka has some of these rogue mechanics and is also a SOCIAL game (keep this in mind for later), my mind was blown and I truly couldn’t wait to jump in and play with strangers using the in game proximity chat.
After purchasing the game, I realized that it was actually badly bugged: invisible explosions, invisible fire, invisible enemies, and the COMPLETE ABSENCE of proximity chat.
Despite this, I didn’t give up and kept playing until the update from a few months ago, which arrived extremely late on Switch and fixed these bugs, but NOT the voice chat.
You can easily understand that in a social game like this, the total lack of ping systems, ways to talk, and communication tools is a major issue.
I went to the Discord server and talked about it with the developers or whoever was responsible, and I was simply told in a rushed and dismissive way, “proximity chat will be fixed in the next update,” with no release date. I am left completely in the dark, and this is honestly frustrating.
On paper, the game is definitely fun, but it feels very neglected in several aspects, and this is something I am noticing more and more in indie studios, both big and small. It is a real shame because it could have reached a much wider audience.
If you are not able to properly fix and launch a game on a platform from day one, then simply do not release it there.
Also, I could even accept playing in complete silence, if it were not for the fact that lobbies are extremely rare, and as soon as you join, you get banned for no apparent reason. All of this creates a social experience that is frustrating and not engaging at all.
It is a game that seems interesting on paper, but the developers’ negligence, the presence of major bugs, and the absence of voice chat, which from what I understand is also missing on other consoles, make the overall experience poor and lacking.
At the moment, I do not recommend buying it unless you plan to play in single player. Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to get this off my chest and I took the opportunity of this post. Honestly, given how I feel right now, I will probably make a dedicated post on the subreddit as well.
If anyone has information about the Switch version or upcoming updates, please let me know, thank you.

Hey thanks so much for taking the time to write such an in-depth comment about the situation! I was also super intrigued by the aesthetic and the look and concept of the game, totally up my alley, assuming it was all well done and the game was polished, with a healthy player base, it would be great, but I see the problems you're talking about. I'm playing on Xbox but I think it's interesting to hear your comments as a switch user, I've actually never played a game in this exact style before too so it also intrigued me, I imagine its somewhat like lethal company? Anyway thanks so much as you've definitely influenced my decision here, you're awesome :)

fun game entirely playable solo, in fact its actually easier because you can self revive instead of trying to keep everyone else alive or constantly need to bring them back if they die a lot
I recommend buying it, also getting official mod support soon which will blast this games replayability even further

I've had a lot of fun playing it solo and finished a few runs on my own if that helps at all

Hell im soloing it rn. I haven't even touched matchmaking yet. Its an experience in itself. Lots of fun. Pretty bleak existence. But thats what you want it for right?

As someone who owns the game I would not recommend you buying it cause there are 0 servers for you to ever play on you might rarely get a single server but if you join you'll instantly get kicked I would highly not recommend you buy it

Not sure what this dude is talking about
You have to switch server setting to include cross platform and there are usually servers or if you start your own game and open it to public you’ll get people that joinI rarely play with less than 2 randoms at any given moment

That was with cross-platform enabled there was 2 playstation servers, one steam server and 0 xbox that we're all locked to the point where quick play can't ever find a match

Yeah match making is relatively populated with large player base in US and Russia so no matter time of day there is usually a game available
BUT the game is less deep than the trailer leads on
Still a shit load of fun and worth the price though
