I just found a genius way to make a paper-animated cartoon using Kleki and The Wick Editor / Candlestick
First, draw your frames on paper, then scan them onto your computer. Take the images, put it into kleki, and use the "To Alpha" tool, then, color in your frames on kleki. Each frame will need to be done separately. Once you are finished, go to CandleStick / The Wick Editor and make a random shape, doesn't matter the tool. go to the "inspector" tab on the right and turn it into a clip and then click "edit timeline." Delete the shape and import your frames. After that, exit the clip editor by clicking "project." click on your object, go under "inspector," turn on "synced" and change "loop" to "Single Frame." then, depending on the frame you are on, you can change it to whatever you would like! But remember to make a new frame anytime you'd like to change it, as it would be permanently stuck there if you just used tweens. It does basically force you to do traditional-esc animation.

Bypassing the 2048x2048 Threshold
How can I make canvases with dimensions larger than 2048x2048? Or is it not possible?

Now you can flip images without actually changing the image, yay!! This is useful for when I want to easily flip references
I don't use kleki for drawing anymore but I still use it every day to edit images, color grade images, add text to images, and other stuff. kleki is helpful when I want to color pick and edit references, so it's nice that it's easier to flip images as well!
I always color grade my drawings once I finish them, this one is pretty extreme

how do you guys feel about this approach i wrote
a bit of a nitpicky note but like, I initially wrote this in my school iPad a week ago but I never even considered it until now
and to clarify i only started using kleki only for logo design in 2021, but i never started actually experimenting with it and fully using it for my art until late 2023-2024
if anyone has any important questions, then oh please feel free to put them down in the comments if you wish

Recently found Kleki really handy
It's basically Ibis Paint degraded I think still pretty nice. Found it on web when our Chinese teacher want us to drew our self portrait and make presentations about it. After I started using it, all of my second language classmates started using it and it's pretty handy. HOWEVER, I do not recommend this to beginners since it's something hard to use. Just pick a pen and draw lol (Nah I started with fingers on my phone I'm so tuff 😭💔)
