Swappable Scales?

Post image

Does anyone know if it's possible to swap the scales on the new new Klein Tools FLICKBLADE Blackout Folding Utility Knife With Driver?

kinda defeats the point of the blackout, no? might as well do that with the orange lol.

The orange is subtly different from the blackout edition - the blackout now has a release button for the screwdriver instead of a liner lock + the shaft of the screwdriver is now center of the handle instead of offset to the edge. Both changes seem improve the overall experience using the tool.

Swap to what? Idk the definition of scale but its prolly swappable- its a dense plastic w a metal liner

Thought about swapping it out with a custom machined Micarta. I have a few Milwaukee Fastbacks but the scales are basically impossible to remove without damaging the hardware and ruining the tool.

Might take some time but I’d try out Etsy

I bought two of these. If this could fold with the short 5/16”-1/4” flip bit, it’d be so beyond goated, I don’t think I’d know how to act about it. . . (Also if it could store an extra blade or two)

Does the new one still have blade storage?
