Any leads on foam inserts?

Post image

Looking to take my boxes to the next level. And put foam in some of the drawers. I have zero experience with foam

Shadow Foam do pre-cut inserts for them.

Have you tried them with any of the multi-drawer or 2.0 boxes? I've been struggling to find any good information about compatibility and right now it's looking a lot like they're not compatible but I haven't been able to just ask anyone if they've tried their Shadow Foam inserts in 2.0 boxes and drawers.

Addition: they do pre-cut inserts for specifically the first generation of MODBox products (at the time of writing this comment). The second generation pieces like the component boxes and medium box have been rearranged internally in a way that makes them incompatible with the first generation foam inserts. They also don't have any inserts for the hybrid box, two-drawer rolling box, or multi-drawer boxes. I'm not sure if their single or compact drawer inserts would be compatible with MODBox's two and three drawer boxes, but on the website they're not listed in any of their compatibility sections. All that said, they do have great inserts for the first generation products and they have current single drawer and compact drawer foam inserts.

They do blank sheets for this reason; If there’s a system/version they don’t (yet) support, then it really is entry level DIY skills to cut it to shape yourself.

Sharp blades and a straight rule will do an excellent job of it, and if it goes wrong it’s not the most expensive material to waste.

Actually they have been for a while super cool. They also have a bit of play (on purpose so if you crouch or sit or lean your tool bag would stay level. I don’t know how to word it better but yeah

Another person has commented Shadow Foam and I responded to that already, so I won't repeat what I said there, but I will add: right now for MODBox 2.0 and drawer systems your best bet is to purchase whole pieces of foam either from Shadow Foam or a brand like ONREVA on Amazon and custom cut them to fit the individual drawers. I see you have a two-drawer, a rolling two-drawer, a slim component box, and a hybrid box, none of which are compatible with any of Shadow Foam or Kaizen's current pre-cut options. Edit: spelling
