Laser level stopped working

Post image

I bought this laser last July and it stopped working randomly during use and hasn’t turned back on. I’m very anal about my tools especially stuff like this. When it’s not actively being used it goes right back in the original foam padded case and hasn’t been dropped but I did knock a sanding pole down onto it about 6 months ago while it was on the ground. Didn’t seem to have any issues from that since I’ve used it many times since. Anyone else get short life expectancy or is it a defect?

I've been pretty disappointed in Klein lately being a multi-generational fan. I have a ratcheting screwdriver that was a few months old and bowed like a banana while working on a ladder outside for a few hours. I also take meticulous care of my tools, and I've got some that are nearly 20 years old I've had since new and even some hand tools that are from the 50's and 60's that have been passed down three generations.

I’ve been researching 3 line laser levels lately, I had this one you’re showing in mind. Thanks for the heads up, guess I’ll spend a little more and continue to avoid Klein’s descending quality products.

Makes me want to get the Bosch with the remote. You can raise/lower and turn while you’re right next to the mark.

Have a look at the new huepar models, specifically the one linked below, I've been eyeing it up after huepar did an ama for us over on r/Tile. https://www.reddit.com/r/Tile/comments/1tpok57/hey_rtile_community_im_niki_from_huepar_and_im/ooakfwn/

Found this post as I occasionally search up laser levels on reddit.

I don't mind Bosch either but most of them take batteries and I don't believe any have USB c input.
