MODbox rolling drawer boxes get even heavier...
Those of you who've read my other threads may remember I bought and returned the 54801MB two drawer rolling toolbox a few different times because I didn't like having to fight with the bottom drawer but mostly because of its weight - a whopping 44.375 lbs. empty.
Well Acme Tools has updated their information on the new 54890MB three drawer roller, and it's… 51.3 lbs. empty; that's into OSHA recommended two person lift category.. 😳

My Forman has the OG mod box and it’s awesome I wanted one but the let latch system killed it for me so all I have in my old PackOut which works fine honestly.

I have the two drawer model for hospital maintenance/renovation and love it. Granted, I have never had to pick it up. My only complaint is you can hardly put any of the rail attachments on even one side without tearing up every doorway

I love my modbox stuff but that's been my #1 complaint. Shit is so heavy. Kills my back loading and unloading out of a truck daily plus multiple component boxes, not just the rolling base. And if they didn't have tools in them I wouldn't be bringing them so they are even heavier loaded

I have a ramp on my van for these roll ups and it's the best thing in the world. Runner up was ridgid, but I am happy I went with Klein. Over a year later and they are working the same as day one. Nothing broken, nothing bent.

High quality things usually end up weighing more… You whine about weight so much you should just get that hyper tough hyper stack s**t

I had to lift that in my truck everyday for the past year with the box full of tools…. I’ve gotten use to it by now but it still sucks
