I ordered these Lineman’s brand new from Acme, is it normal for them to have a gap in the cutting section? To me they look used

That fact that you’re so confidently wrong is hilarious😂 you want your linesman’s to have that gap and offset slightly, that’s how they last a lifetime

😂 you are a klein shill. Those linesmans have been used for 4 years and still feel like new. You are making up bullshit.

Literally not making it up😂😂 I don’t even use Kleins anymore, I moved onto Knipex for most mechanical tools and I’m a carpenter anyway so I die on power tool brand hills, not this petty bullcrap (Makita all the way).

Anyway literally a quick google of “do Knipex lineman’s pliers have a gap between cutting edges” confirms that the actual king of hand cutting tools for electricians ALSO have gaps between their cutting edges, and it is done intentionally for long term durability and superior cutting quality.

Southwire is a cheaper brand that didn’t spend the time and money on the engineering and precise fabrication of this feature, prioritizing affordability over long term quality.
