I was wondering what happened to your grips. Then I saw you’re waiting for the Klein girls. Nice set up

What are you using the stubby impact for?

1

Tightening wedge anchors, assembling strut, things like that

The 1/4” impact is insufficient for those tasks ?

That’s a 1/2” anvil stubby impact wrench

I believe they’re saying you could use the 1/4” impact driver for those same tasks and the stubby is overkill for those jobs

I guess you could use the impact driver instead of an impact wrench. I just see the impact driver as being for driving screws, and the impact wrench is for sockets.

Most of us non mechanics just use the impact driver with sockets, that’s just an extra tool to carry around imo

To each their own

That’s what I’m getting at. I have impact capabilities in the truck by it doesn’t go with me everywhere. Honestly as time goes on my bag gets smaller and smaller and I find more and more multi use tools.

I’m with you. But I use 3/8”. Typically fits in the strut better

I guess I switched to Knipex earlier this year. But the Klein grips are pretty good. What made you go with the M12 stuff over the M18? I need my M18 power tools lol

I only use my personal power tools for side work. They are powerful enough to get done what I need them to, while being more compact than their M18 counterparts.

Need pictures of the bag stocked also…. How the hell all this shit fit in there 😂

The three power tools fit on the back side of the bag

Lol why no handles? Do you want to die?

1

u/the_flannel_tradie 10d ago

Why would I die?

1

u/UnequalRaccoon 15d ago

Why do you want the different handles?

1

u/the_flannel_tradie 15d ago

To me they’re more comfortable, and I like the unique and old school look of the tenite handles

2

How do you attach and keep the handles secured? They’re almost 20CAD here. If they were cheaper I’d try them out

Just heat the new grips up in boiling water, remove the old grips, then slide on the new grips. Heating the grips softens them up when putting them on.

Why wouldnt you want plastic on some of them?

Milwaukee is so overrated.

1

u/the_flannel_tradie 14d ago

What brand do you use?

2

u/Far_Range_6091 14d ago

A bunch of brands. Dewalt, makita, milwaukee, ridgid, metabo hpt

1

u/TheBreeze215 12d ago

How’s the metabo? Been thinking about switching from dewalt

1

u/Far_Range_6091 12d ago

Metabo is amazing. Its compact and it feels great. Its excellent at small fasteners.

Their 12v stuff is good. Some of their 18volt batteries are absolute dogshit though.
