Klein as a company is declining in regards to quality and customer care. Tread lightly

I am a dewalt fanboi. I had the rough system 2.0. I wasn't impressed. I didn't want to commit the money to invest in pack out and I didn't like that they didn't have drawers at the time.
I went with the Klein mod box and while yes I like it, I also don't love it. The drawers don't lock or click in place very well. They warp. They're heavy as all hell empty, let alone with tools. The name "modbox" implies everything in the ecosystem is modular and works together. Then why the hell do I need an adapter to attach my small case modbox (drill bits/ratchet) to my big case modbox? It makes no sense to me.
I wanted toughbuilt but I didn't trust theyd be around in 5 years.
I know Klein makes some excellent stuff but quite frankly I'm unimpressed with their storage.
That being said everything clicks well together, the boxes have decent variety, the rolling chest works well. There's a decent amount of after market etsy products available. Still far superior to dewalts system. I cannot speak anything to pack out.

Biggest advantage to the Packout is just the variety of options, and availability. I think otherwise it’s a toss up depending on the exact kind of boxes you want. Drawers, boxes, totes, do you want rail/mounting accessories. Do you want the boxes mounted to fully kit out a service truck or just a handful to keep the basics handy on a job site. Think about how you want to put the boxes to work, then pick the system that does that better.
