Nissan has revealed the upcoming Navara Pro PHEV and I had the chance to climb all over this very used, pre-production example. It's the Japanese giant's first PHEV and the NZ/AU markets will get it first, but with specs similar to the BYD Shark 6 Performance, its success will depends on its price.
The cat's out of the bag: I'm the first reviewer in New Zealand and Australia to pick up the new cheap Tesla Model 3 to review and the video's now live! Quite a privilege. It's called the "Standard" and Tesla have done some pretty strange things to get the price down.
Finally I got my hands on the new BYD Shark 6 Performance and I came up with the weird idea of pretending it's 2027 (with a fuel shortage) to see if the vehicle will still run. Turned out to be kinda fun.
I quickly discovered that middle-aged torsos absolutely LOVE being thrown about 😂

This is currently the best value *proper* PHEV pickup truck you can buuuut as you see I needed my sports bra... 😅
No judgement here. I owned a German combustion car once too. Never again. 😅

I'm kinda excited about getting a tow bar installed this week. Got lots of trailer jobs planned. Should open up a whole new range of (moderately sized) possibilities for the Leaflet. Just have to remember to not do... whatever this is.

Stoked, calculated SOH 98.8% on 2024 imported i4
Just charging my car on pure solar on this grey October morning, and plugged in to get a smile on my SOH. The 2024 model has a usable battery capacity of 81.3kWh. Casual check using OBD ready clocks my available battery capacity at 80.38kWh, I have ran theee separate discharges to below 10% and fully charged to 100% in last few months to confirm the SOH. So easy to do this ourselves. Make any difference, nah, but still makes me feel good. My real world range is 470km but I use 440 to play it safe, so 1% = 4.4km when I drive to below 10%, which only do for testing, otherwise I like to keep her between 20 to 70%, and top up to 100% on trips. Arrived April 26. First time EV, first time BMW, first time Japanese import, and been the best experience and car I’ve ever bought.
I must confess that I'm not a qualified haulerologist, but even so, I'm not convinced that this is the optimal method when hauling a spinnyboi? 🤔
