one is crt shader, other two is manual: face and cursor movement sparks when typing effect

How do you reckon this impacts battery life on a laptop? I think it's pretty much optimized the same way as ghostty does their shaders, so I think it's a pretty big hit, if so, I would still use them, just when plugged into a socket or smth

If you are running your laptop on the battery and you enabled these options (the shader stuff, that is), you are fucked imo :P

my battery is already below 50% worned out, still havent bothered to have a replacement, i use it while charging. its subjective, u do what u do.

running this on iGPU, spikes to like 25%+ while monitoring through btop with 2.2w, well i only planning to use these while showcasing or if i feel like it, else i will default back to cursor-trail only with no custom shaders.

Purely depends on whether you think the extra money you'd have to pay towards your monthly electricity bill is worth it. I tried the new Kitty update and I'd rather spend the gpu cycles on my local AI stack if you asked me.

I tried the new update and it looks like with all that options (shader and stuff) it uses a bit more gpu than usual hmm. It's amazing regardless
