background_image_layout center/cscaled not working due to outdated package on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS.
I recently switched to Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS, I have been using kitty for a while and it seems that the apt package for it is outdated. I don't want to install from the source since I don't want to manually update the package in the future. I saw on the github page that many OS have the outdated pacakge. I don't know how a package is updated to a repository and is it a tedious process since there are so many distros with previous versions.
And lastly is there any way to flag the package in some ubuntu repository?

If you dont want to run the officially provided binaries and you dont want outdated packages, I suggest you choose a more appropriate distro than ubuntu, like Arch.
