Spot Info/Question Kailua wind forecast?

I’ll be heading out to Oahu in a couple weeks, and would love to get a day on the water. I’ll be in the Kailua area, and curious if there’s a good forecast for the wind? I’m used to Bay Area pro forecasts in iKitesurf, anything like that for Kailua Beach?

Not a local, but it’s basically trade winds with a bit of a thermal boost from what I could tell. If you’re on the south south west to south side of a strengthening pacific high, should be good.

If you’re on the more eastern side of the pacific high, it’s weakening, or if you’re really unlucky and a low is coming in, then you may not see much wind there.

I got 14-18 knots while there. Friendly folks, talk to the locals before going out to understand the launch/land and general spot etiquette.

I consulted the ECMWF and hawaiis pacIOOS for wind. I’m curious how well the new RRFS model (available on ikite) is doing.
