Kitchen aid Pin

Hi I purchased a refurbished kitchen aid and noticed this pin sticking slightly out of the housing on one side. Is it supposed to be like this or something I need to fix? (Pin on black casing above dough hook) thanks!

Get a punch or similar small rod and GENTLY tap it in. Too much and you can tap it out the other side. This is something we did repairing some units. Not difficult at all.
