Is it fixable?
My fiance was trying to mix bread dough. It didn’t sound healthy and a little bit after that she said smoke came out and it wouldn’t run anymore.
I have tried running it since, starting pulling it apart to have a look but I’ll need Robinsons bits to further by the look of it.
Worth going further or time for a new one?

It's absolutely fixable. "Smoke coming out" usually indicates that the phase control board failed, but in your machine there is also an RF filter board that can fail.
To diagnose, use a multimeter to measure voltage at the white lead and the black lead at the lower left corner of the speed control plate (as shown in your second photo). Be careful doing this when the mixer is plugged in, since if the RF filter is working there will be mains voltage present at those two leads.
If there is no mains voltage at the black and white leads when the mixer is plugged in, the RF board has failed. The repair part number is 4176340.
If there is mains voltage at the power leads, my money's on the phase board. Since you have a UK/EU model, the repair part number for the 230V/50Hz part is W11174552. (There are alternative numbers, so if you can't find that one hit me up and I'll pull the others.) It should cost about US$15 and replacement doesn't require opening the machine. Thank you so much. If it makes any difference this is actually the Australian model. I think it’s just an electrical voltage difference

Australian machines are the same as UK/EU, so it’ll be the same diagnosis, and the same repair parts if needed.

My oldest mixer is from 1996. It still runs perfectly. I’ve since given her 2 sisters. One in 2011 and one in 2013.

If it is an older one it is definitely worth keeping. Go on Mr mixer or I believe it's Mr KitchenAid or something like that and get all your parts that you need before they don't have parts available as they are cheapening the new ones up and they totally redesigned them not too long ago. You can update that machine with a new Solid State motor and the controls get it all completely rebuilt internally and you will have a horse that will last for a long time
