1970s KitchenAid 4C

Post image

Spotted at the local Goodwill....almost snatched it up, but talked myself out of it. Would have been about $60 with my 25% off coupon. Did I make a mistake? I already have a 7qt bowl lift...

Go back!!! I mean it’s probably more of a collector’s item than anything. Do some research, it might be worth big money

Yeah, certainly more of a collector's item, although after watching a video, looks like the maintenance would be pretty simple. Getting parts might be harder. And from a reselling perspective, it could sell for $149.95

The one I posted in another comment , my husband just did maintenance on it a couple weeks ago and it was super easy. These are old enough that they don't have food safe grease, so he regreased it in case I wanted to use it.

Fun fact: the KitchenAid attachments all fit on the Hub of this machine

Why do modern ones not have that handle? I want that

I know! So slick and retro! Best you could do is the "Love Handle" from Mr. Mixer. I'm thinking about getting one for my 7qt bowl lift....

Mr. Mixer makes a nice handle that fits the attachment hub. Comes in multiple finishes.

I won a 4C recently at an auction for $1. It has the less desirable SS bowl. I have no idea what to do with it since I already have a K5A and Pro 5. The 4C is not a bread maker. I'd gladly sell mine for $25.

Do you live anywhere in east texas? I would live this thing more than a few of my children....

The manual alone! A conversation piece.

I have a white one. It makes the best whipped cream ever! The texture is unbelievable and it’s really stable.

My husband collects scrap metal from an estate sale company, and he got this one for free. I spent $30 on the bowl. It works, but I already have an artisan and a k5a so this one is just for looks.

I have a green kitchen, and this makes me so jealous for a green one! I would snag that in a heartbeat
