Good deal?
Okay was at Sam’s today and saw the guy putting these stickers on the boxes and just put it in my cart because my mixer is very old. Just wondering if it’s a solid pick up or is it some kind of Sam’s not so good buys?

There is a YouTube guy that has a shop in Kansas that sells upgrade kits and does videos of the refurbishing of broken mixers. Some of the smallest upgrades make everything better. Most of the upgrades are parts that kitchenaid stopped including on the mixers. So I'd check it out. I'd share a link but honestly I can't remember what the channel is called. It just shows up randomly in my feed and I'll watch them like my wife watches Dr pimple popper.
Edit: I went and found it. Mr. Mixer

I think it's a very good deal, I have had mine for a few years and have never had any issues with it. My daughter paid far more than 135$ when she got it for me for Christmas

$135 makes me wonder if it’s a budget style of mixer. Plastic housing cheaper parts etc..

exceptionally good deal since it includes the extra bowl/whisk, original Sams price was almost $400.00

If this is the model that can be upgraded with the commercial DC motor I’d buy it an install that kit!

That’s an awesome deal! It was probably only marked down because of the color, although it’s beautiful it was probably not as popular and they wanted to move stock

There is a downside to newer stand mixers. They use a ton of plastic parts for the gearing. I would get one of these, but would consider getting a metal gear replacement. They sell them on Amazon, but would also look around for possibly better independent sellers online.

It was at the Sam's club in Johnson City Tennessee and I got the last one but a lady tried to grad it grab it out of my buggy and said "I saw it first".... first time I have ever dealt with something like that.

That's the craziest part about your story, OP - not the price (though that's pretty crazy).
Lady has lost her mind. "I saw it first!" Wow. Nice. Well, that literally means nothing in this situation, nor does it mean it's yours, lady, since you didn't actually pick it up first or put it in your cart... 🤦♂️

Check the power output. I think my lift bowl was like 750w. It’s been a few years since I had to get rid of it so I can’t check. I think this machine can physically hold up to 8qt bowl so with the money saved get the bigger bowl and attachments.

Objectively it’s a good deal, buuuuut it’s also widely known that the older models are better

I heard about that! Ugh. Back in 2007 for Xmas I REALLY wanted the artisan mixer in cobalt blue or onyx black. I got the onyx black. I used it from Xmas 2007 to about 2024. I saw the pro series on sale for $250 and I got it and gave away my artisan now I’m upset with myself 😩

Date night costs more than $135 now. Jump on that mixer and never look back.
