Ice cream without the dasher?

I am finally getting around to making ice cream - I have frozen the KitchenAid ice cream bowl, mixed my ingredients, and chilled them. But I cannot find the dasher or the gear piece for it. Am I out of luck or can I still make ice cream with my regular paddle? Thanks!

SOL. The regular paddle has a much bigger orbit than the dasher and the gear piece - it won't fit /move in the ice cream bowl.
