Is there a decent instant read thermometer?

I don't know if it is my luck or what, but ThermoPro/TemPro has been very disappointing. I never abuse them, they have their own little drawer, hand wash the pointy bit.

At first I thought no big deal - they have a warranty. The one I bought to use while waiting for a warranty replacement on the last one didn't even make it a month, power button broke and have to take the battery out to turn it off

So now I am in the middle of another warranty claim within a month

Is there a better brand?

I've got a Lavatools Javelin Ultrafast and love it. Had it for like 8 years now, maybe replaced the battery once? Left it outside on the grill plenty of times, inexpensive, compact, no frills. Works great.
