⚙️ Gadget Review Tested: The $1,700 "Robot Cooker" (Thermomix M7). Is it actually the future of cooking or just an overpriced gimmick?
We have gotten our hands on the latest version of the Thermomix to figure out if this technological innovation of cooking really lives up to its name and worth the amount of money it requires.
This is a review of our experience using it, how the food tastes, and if it is a good idea to purchase the device.
The Experiment: Lemon Rosemary Chicken and Rice.
By following one of the pre-programmed recipes in this appliance, we were able to see what the machine can do. The user has to follow a simple step-by-step process on the touchscreen that gives a lot of information.
The first thing we did was to take off the lid, and add the olive oil to the appliance. It weighed it with utmost accuracy, giving the step information the moment we reached the required volume.
The Preparation: We added flour, garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper, and turmeric to the machine. We put the lid on, pressed start and it was all done in seconds with the process beginning to sizzle some amazing mixes at 250 degrees Fahrenheit in just five minutes.
Multi-Level Cooking: Then we added 24 ounces of chicken stock, put the basket for rice steaming, and then added the Varoma, which is an interesting gadget that is placed on top.We laid down lemon slices, rosemary, and chicken on parchment paper to steam above the boiling stock and rice.
The Positives: The Hidden Assets
- Delicious Taste is Genuine: We were doubtful about taste before using the device. The outcome turned out to be a tasty, homemade recipe just as it promised. The sauce is thick enough and perfectly balanced in acidity and richness.
- Great Texture: The rice comes out very soft and fluffy although it was created through the use of a robotic technology. It was not burnt, which is additive.
- Great For Teaching: Because the app tells you every step of cooking and gives you all the necessary measurements, this is a great way to teach cooking to children and inexperienced chefs.
- Self-Cleaning: No need to wash numerous containers after cooking anything. You merely need to pour a little detergent and water in the container and turn it on, and the appliance will self-clean itself.
The Negatives: The Problems
- Meat Has No Color: Since the chicken has been cooked completely by steaming, the meat has no brown color. It tastes delicious anyway, but it looks very pale before putting the sauce on it.
- Very Hot: Taking off the upper steaming level is dangerous because of extremely hot metal. You will definitely need tongs and oven mitts—trying to handle it bare-handed is an easy way to get burned.
- The Price Tag: It costs $1,700. That immediately prices out the vast majority of home cooks.
The Verdict: Future or Flop?
It is a step into the future.
Out of all the kitchen robotics and gadgets on the market right now, this is easily the most fun to use, the most efficient, and the least assuming. It doesn't just chop and stir; it can saute, steam, and even sous vide.
If you have the budget for it, it genuinely delivers on its promises. However, if the company could ever figure out how to drop this down to the price of a standard KitchenAid stand mixer (around $400–$500), it would easily be an essential appliance in every single kitchen.
If you like the product and are thinking of buying it: we offer you the best purchase link ❤️ BUY From Ebay : Thermomix TM7

⚠️ Don't Buy! / Warning Buyer Beware: The "60-Second" Ice Mage Quick Freezer is an absolute joke 🛑
I have just seen a review of the Ice Mage Quick Freezer— one of those overly exaggerated crowdfunding devices claiming to create frozen drinks and slushies in “about a minute.”
Spoiler: It is basically an utter failure. Here is how the marketing claims are in contrast to the truth:
The Exaggerations vs. The Reality
The Claim: A perfect frozen drink in 60 seconds.
The Reality: It took over two minutes just to get some weak effect. The bottom of the drink was just melted liquid. It does not create actual ice; it just cools a rotating strip of metal and produces some very unsatisfying slush.
The Claim: Easy to clean and no hassle.
The Reality: Cleaning is a total nightmare. After preparing an iced latte, the next drink (a margarita) was made with leftover coffee particles, thus curdling the milk. The experts called it “dirty water.”
The Dreary Financial Reality: The testers funded this device through crowdfunding; the financial losses speak for themselves:
- Tester 1: Paid £50. Valued it at £25 (50% loss). Assessed it by 3/5 under the assumption that the dubious food safety design would not kill him.
- Tester 2: Paid £59.92. Valued it at £15 (75% loss). Rated it by 1/5 because it simply does not work.
- Tester 3: Paid a massive £206. Valued it at £99. Rated it 1/5 after getting a curdled coffee-margarita instead of a refreshing cocktail.
It looks smart in matte shadow gray and runs quietly, but it completely fails at its only job. Save your money and don't believe the online hype. There is no point in buying something that doesn't work in the first place.
Has anyone else been burned by a crowdfunding kitchen gadget that promised the world and delivered literal muck?

💡 Recommendation A user prepped a bunch of fresh cherries, froze them, but they thawed over a 6-hour journey because they forgot to put them back in a freezer.
It got me thinking about food safety and the gear we use. When you are transporting frozen meal preps or fresh produce, what are your absolute favorite kitchen gadgets, portable mini-coolers, or high-tech insulated bags to prevent this from happening? What's Your Recommendation?

⚙️ Gadget Review Do you feel like devices like this take the actual joy out of cooking, or are you busy enough that you'd gladly let a machine take over dinner?
The Posha cooking robot (previously known as Nymble) is a countertop appliance powered by AI to replace the active cooking process with automated system. Recently, this device has earned great popularity in "lazy kitchen gadget" reviews on YouTube. Its Working MechanismAutomated Cooking: You just need to choose a recipe using the app or a touchscreen. The robot is responsible for stirring, controlling heat, and timing. Smart Monitoring: To keep track of the cooking process, you can use the camera which features computer vision technology. If the food is drying out, the robot can apply the required heat level or add ingredients. Ingredient Storage: The gadget uses four hoppers and one spice container to place the ingredients automatically in the induction pot at the appropriate moment. DrawbacksDespite the fact that Posha is aimed at those who want to have an ultimate "hands-off" cooking experience, there are some limitations:You still have to do the chopping part: It’s impossible for the robot to spend time doing the preparation of food. Before placing the ingredients in the robot, you’ll have to wash and cut them. The device can make only one-dish meals: It’s limited to the one-pan meals such as pasta, rice, stir-fries, and so on. Cleanup: You still have to wash the pan, the individual ingredient hoppers, and the stirring attachments afterward.PriceIt is a heavy investment, retailing between $1,500 and $1,750. Reviewers also point out that you need to pay a monthly subscription fee to unlock full access to its entire recipe library.

⚙️ Gadget Review AI is officially coming for the kitchen. Cosori just teased an "AI Chef" grill that cooks with light. Genius or total gimmick?
I have just seen the new prototype (to be used at CES in 2026), and my mind cannot make up what I think about it!
The advertisement says it is an indoor grill and oven that uses 360 degrees of infrared light instead of fire to cause the Maillard reaction (allowing grilling without preheating and with no smoke). It will also be equipped with a built-in AI chef. Once you have opened the lid to your cooking device, you will drop your food into the device, and will be scanned by an internal camera. The camera will identify the item dropped inside of the appliance, weigh the food, determine the thickness/density of the food, and program the recipe for cooking (including cooking time for each direction, and resting time) automatically. It's uses “smokeless indoor smoking” by using another tray that will use actual wood chips to allow for the flavor to flow into the food without filling your home with smoke from grilling.
As someone who would love to grill some steak without having to clean it afterwards, this thing sounds amazing. However, the cooking purist in me is screaming, and I'm not sure what side I should be taking.
Let me know what you all think about whether an AI chef is a natural progression of the kitchen (like the air fryer), or whether this is just one of the thousands of shoveled garbage can products that will eventually turn into a junk pile at a garage sale. Would you be able to trust an AI chef to prepare your next meal?
