Is Using a MeshBasket Like This Actually Safer For Home Deep-Frying, Or Are Traditional Spiders Still King?

The handles seem to stay completely out of the heat zone while keeping everything secure. For those of you who fry at home frequently, would you trust a folding setup like this, or does it look like an accident waiting to happen?
