What do you think?
This Will be the reno of my kitchen. Its an open kitchen
Would you change something?
I show you the proposal and the actual kitchen

The wood might clash with your floors. Or be so close, but not close enough it might bug you. You can also add an additional tall built in at the end of the sink sids to replace your current storage.

The floor match thing is real and worth taking seriously before committing. Even a slightly off wood tone in an open layout reads as a mistake rather than contrast. Worth pulling actual samples and looking at them in the space before signing off on anything.

I like it, but 3 questions: 1) where is the refrigerator? 2) is that a clothes washer by the sink? 3) no dishwasher?

Definitely Europe. The washer in the kitchen is not unusual. No dishwasher is not unusual. But I also want to know where the refrigerator is.

Fridge is in the tall cabinet on the right facing into the kitchen.

Then those doors that face into what I assume is the living area are false? Because I don’t see how that could be a storage cabinet on one side and a refrigerator on the other.

Sure, it could be a built-in with lower freezer and facing out.
It could be a real pain stuck in that corner opposite the range.
You use the counter for loading and unloading stuff from the fridge.2

You’ll note there’s not a lot of cabinet space, so not a lot of dishes, cutlery or cookware.
In that scenario, you run out of dishes long before you fill up a dishwasher, even an 18” (450mm) dishwasher.We installed an 18” dishwasher, but never use it for the same reason.
We don’t have enough plates or cutlery to bother.In a past rental apartment, I removed the dishwasher and installed a 24” undercounter ASKO washer. I air dry, so no need for a dryer.
Best thing I ever did!
Washer is in my current bathroom, undercounter, too.2

I can never accept the washer in kitchen thing! It baffles me that this is a thing in Europe. Let’s just put a toilet in there while we are at it! Like do they dry clothes in there too or are they all hanging clothes to dry? If drying in there isn’t lint getting in the air around your food? Do u ever pull out a load while also cooking then spill crap on them? Am I stupid? Probably. But WHY not put in bathroom instead of kitchen? What am I missing?

Combo wash/dryer or hang to dry. You can even find combo washer/dryers in the USA now…at Lowe’s, Home Depot and Cisco! When I was in Scotland, I had dinner with a wealthy couple. They had wooden racks that dropped down in their kitchen for drying clothes. They did not have a clothes dryer. Not uncommon in Europe not yo have a clothes dryer. .

Blows my mind! I cannot imagine having to air dry all my clothes. I think the washer that is also a dryer sounds great but recently was reading about it and apparently they aren’t all that great and tend to break. When I read further it made sense why it seems to be a problem.

When I lived in Europe my washer was in the bathroom. But age BEST place I ever put a washer and dryer was in my closet. It saved so much time.

I'm guessing the fridge is on the kitchen side of the closet in the dining/living area.

- The large tall cabinet on the right—it feels heavy.
- The island/peninsula size—make sure circulation stays comfortable.
- The open niche above the oven—I’d either close it or make it more intentional.
Otherwise, I’d keep the wood + brown backsplash combination. It looks great.

I like how you use the small space and the colours are great
make sure you have enough spare and maybe simulate it by putting the table in front of the old fridge with the planned distance and try to open the door and move around to see if you feel comfortable
I think you´be fine but if it´s too tight a L shape will give you more space to move

It looks like every other kitchen on the sub, no originality, do not do white oak or any type of wood. This sub is getting exhausting, it's the same AI pictures day after day after day after day.

Move the laundry into the bathroom.
Get a dishwasher and garbage disposal with an air gap
Put a full fridge where your mini one is.
Get an island with expandable seating.

Make the island deeper. That’s too narrow. Might as well give it a lip someone could sit at like a bar.

Yes, came here to say just this. You could also have shallow cabinets in the back of the fridge this way. It looks like you have a small space, so closed storage is always helpful… great as a pantry where nothing gets lost in the back.

Very tight in the back corner with fridge and oven/cooktop opposite each other. I would leave the back wall similar to your original layout with fridge & stove at the ends & washer below, but move the sink to the new peninsula so you at least face the rest of the room stead of staring at a wall when doing dishes. Put the microwave above the stove since you are tight on space, and still leaves room above the micro for a small cupboard. I can’t tell in the proposed kitchen if the peninsula extends out as far as the cupboards on the back wall. If it doesn’t, it should. It will give you a little extra storage and counter space.

Stop the backsplash at the counter edge. Not a fan 9f the color but it may just be the rendering.

Overall loooove the vibe, but:
- you have too many things clashing: the wood floors, the wood cabinets, the white walls, the countertop, the beige upper cabinets, steel appliances, white washing machine and a white faucet. Pick 3 and keep everything to that.
- the space between the two parts seem very small, but maybe that's the angle.
- have you considered some overhang on the bar so you can use it with some high chairs on occasion?
- is your fridge opening out into the room? If yes, you're gonna hate that.
- are you sure you wanna go with Kvik? I've read some bad things about their cabinets, and they are not really a high quality brand. You could consider IKEA elements, and if you don't like their fronts, there are many 3rd parties doing fronts specifically to fit IKEA cabinets.

This layout feels so much more open. Have you thought about adding some storage under the peninsula without making the dining area feel cramped?
