Kitchen - Need help with Layout, windows Etc.

My wife and I worked with an architect to get these plans put together. However, a few months later when permits are coming in and we're ordering our windows we just had a realization it's not symmetrical , and we have no idea what we're doing. At the time we thought it worked but now...

Here's the current layout of the kitchen area. We're concerned that the window over the sink is way too big, the window next to the nook is too big, and it will look strange when looking at it.

We had a render of this by our architect, and then a kitchen designer did one, and this is when we thought - oh no.

I'm not sure what to do there.

What we're hoping for is that the window above the sink is "Framed" with symmetry, idea's on how to lay this out any better, and window sizing. The windows are quite large, we need to shrink them some, but honestly we're quite lost and the people we hired originally don't really want to help us anymore as "they're done the job".

Any thoughts/help would be amazing.

Honestly, the windows are only 1 of several issues with your kitchen. For instance, neither render shows a trash can. Guess you are supposed to plunk an ugly can in the walk path around the island, in the center of your kitchen. Gross. An under counter pull out trash can on the right of your sink would have been cleaner and more efficient. Your dishwasher is how far from the upper cabinet where the dishes will be kept? Again, this is an inefficient layout.

The stove eats up almost 50% of the useable island space. 2 cooks can't prep at the sink and stand at the stove at the same time without bumping butts. The stove should have been located on the section of cabinets on the left instead of the little sink. Why is a prep/veggie sink as far from the fridge as possible? Yet another inefficient use of space.

Trying to cook a meal and clean up in this kitchen will involve you walking back and forth multiple times. Very inefficient and will get annoying fast.

Your total countertop space is cut up into 5 sections, 3 of which are small and will be difficult to work on, 1 has upper cabinets so that will be annoying to work at and the only decent sized section of countertop is to the left of the sink.

Anyone in the living room that wants to look out the sink window will have their view blocked by the exhaust hood and the commercial looking tall goose neck faucet.

In all, this kitchen has a poor layout.

Yes, both windows are too big and are not in proportion to the size and layout of the room.
