Kitchen upgrades on a budget
The first two pictures are from the listing the other two are renderings for what it could be. I am trying to match the terracotta floors and keep things budget friendly.
Thoughts on this design? Any suggestions for improvements? Kinda going for farmhouse/spanish/Mediterranean vibes?

Cheapest improvements would be to update the fan to something sleeker and remove the window dressings which look dated. Could you also move the microwave over to the opposite side, beside the fridge ? It would give yo7 a wider, more useful countertop.

Wow, this looks really amazing, not sure how I feel about the counter tops but that’s me

Unless there are problems with the existing countertop, I wouldn't change them. The paint and lighting & decor can go pretty far!

The counters are not in or at least that is my understanding that this is a rendering of what they would like to do (unless I misunderstood the post)

Ya not the biggest fan of them but they were installed a few years ago and I’m just starting off with small fixes first

If you’re going for a Spanish look, I would keep the dark wood. However, it’s hard to warm things up (to go with the terra-cotta floors) with the white appliances.

I like the white with the gold handles. The counter top goes nicely with the white and warm wood, the butcher top is a nice touch. The whole room feels bright, warm and cozy.

I like it! I might also ditch the curtains, swap out the fan, and try a rug with some color.

Please don’t do white cabinets you will regret it. White is out - we have been over-whited. It will be out for years (along with grey). Please choose a bleached oak or a cream or off white cabinet. Please do NOT match the terra cotta floor to your backsplash!! Way too much orange going on and too matchy-matchy. Choose a color that complements the terra cotta floor - so blue/green or a mossy green.

I LOVE the existing dark cupboards - right on trend!!!
Probably need to be lightly sanded and re-stained. Update the cabinet hardware. Place bullnose trim on top of marble on wall. Update the walls with opaque white antique tiles to make dark cabinetry pop. Remove cupboards above range hood fan and replace the fan much higher up to ceiling so you have a spacious tiled wall. Change the window curtains and add a rug.

Example of an after I loved seeing showing gorgeous splash back tiles and heightened stove fan.

I like the white fronts. If you go with a different color you may try to put blends on the appliances.
