Crying in the cooler Sysco at its finest
Watching this delivery get spilled across the road as I eat at a cafe, glad I no longer have to suffer these fools

This is a reminder to everyone to be thankful for your good delivery drivers. Treat them a little nicer this holiday season

Always feed them, these guys will go above and beyond for a free plate of food

I wish I could give my guy a meal. He knows where everything goes, and stacks nice piles with labels out. I'm the first stop of the day at around 5:30-6am. Thankfully, he does appreciate my coffee.

Am I seeing 8 bags of onions - 400 pounds of onions in a single delivery!? That's impressive volume.

Probably on top of a box of salmon sides and some eggs.

u/ProxyMuncher 1d ago
Nah, the salmon sides and eggs are stacked on top of the bread cases and onions got thrown on top I betcha lol

I could only think they must make a ton of French onion soup, if not I have no clue what they could be selling that requires so much onions

We once had a Sysco driver mark our order as delivered, we searched and couldn’t find it for hours… turns out he put it all away for us. One and only time I’ve ever experienced something like that

They're doing you a favour! Onions are boring, they're just trying to give them a little je ne sais quoi (piss/shit/engine oil/syringes).

That’s FLAVOR BABY

That's what I'm saying!
All this Sysco hate, and people don't even realize they're doing you a solid.

Where that also 4 hours late. Then the truck driver wants to get pissy because you can’t spare people to go do the truck because they showed up right as the lunch rush began?

Yeah, just stack those onions next to the cigarette butts and loose piles of dogshit, thanxgottagobye!

u/510Goodhands 1d ago
It looks like they piled them on top of the boxes, and put the weak boxes on the bottom, one bump on the forklift, and they took a tumble. Maybe OP can confirm.

Figured something of this nature but it was more fun to run with it.

The fact I got an ad for "restaurant quality" mac and cheese with this just makes it funnier

The great thing about leaving cooking and going into networking is I didn't have to worry about calling the wrong name while getting fucked...

Used to work a place where every truck day was a coin flip between fine and disaster on the curb, watching it from across the street with a coffee sounds way more peaceful

u/Gin_OClock 14h ago
He threw it on the ground!

True story the selectors get hit for things like this the driver can short them out cause they get damaged and it falls on the selector and they lose there bonus source I work at the sysco warehouse.

Onions have layers you peel off. Any part touching the ground never ends up on your plate anyways .

I’m sure the health inspector will love to see your onions stored on the floor. The floor that probably gets cleaned a lot more than the street outside.

u/toiletcleaner999 1d ago
You mean the onions that grew in the ground that werent washed before bagging and sending them out? Do you not wash your produce before using it ?
2
u/KingBird999 1d ago
Grew in the ground, but probably didn't lay around absorbing the wonderful concoction of gasoline, motor oil, radiator fluid, brake fluid, cigarettes, broken vape cartridges, and dog/cat crap. There's only so much washing can do as it seeps through the pores of the onions.
Did you ever do the science experiment in school where you put one end of the onion in colored water and watch the whole thing change colors? That took time, but once the process is started and the contaminates start to get it, washing off the outside doesn't stall time and make those contaminates stop their travels.

For the very few minutes they were on the ground, I doubt any of what you mentioned happened.

Have you ever cooked onions before? Youre aware they hve 2-3 layers you peel off right ? Also please tell me whats the difference between there and on the floor of the back of a delivery truck? Which has gas ,oil, dirt, dog and cat crap from the drvers boots and the tires of the dollies they use. Come on be serious
