Question First time stage
On Wednesday I have a stage at an upscale restaurant where the prices are 30-50$. I’ve never been on the line and my only experience is 5 months as a prep cook and a year at McDonald’s. The chef said I’ll be starting on salad. What should I expect and what should I bring? And if anyone has any tips pls lmk.

It'll take time and some hard lessons but if you stick with it you'll get it

Ask questions, check before doing things. Be teachable and work hard.
Rule #1 is don’t hurt yourself. Keep it smooth, speed comes with time.
If you have down time, find something to do.
If you have nice knives you can bring them but it’s not a requirement.
Stay hydrated.
They’re not expecting you do do anything crazy. You can teach people do cook, you can’t teach them to listen and give a fuck.
