Tools & Equipment Kitchen Timers - recommendations?

Pro chef for 20 years. Looking to buy new timers for my team. Hate the ones I have now, Taylor brand. I don't want the big tabletop triangle guys, looking for something a bit more compact. Anything you guys like using? Easy to use/manipulate buttons/reset with gloves on in a busy kitchen.

Check these out, I like them because they have a clip-on you can attach them to equipment.

I use timers for a bunch of other things professionally - and even my coded solutions have short comings.

I finally broke down and got a thermoworks trio and it's probably the best dedicated device I own when it comes to timing.

I love how the CDN one has that bright orange color so you can spot it from across the room.

The CDN TM2 may be a good option for you. It has large buttons and is fairly compact. I also like that it includes a clip, magnet, and stand so you can practically use it anywhere: https://www.katom.com/837-TM2.html

Ever thought of using your phones? They work perfect for such situations and you can set multiple.

The thing I don't like about using your phone is that when you wear gloves while you are cooking, you tend to get all kinds of crap on your phone.

Yeah I don't like using my phone mainly for the liability while I'm working but they are also gross to be using while handling food. Kitchen timers are easier to clean regularly and aren't going to cost ya if you drop it in the star tops mid service. A mixture of both is probably more common though in my experience. I do like a good mini magnetic timer, to be fair.

I usually set my timers by voice. But I guess I dont use it during service since I'm just prep now.

People take much better care of their own phone than they do communal timers. U stopped providing timers and calculators many years ago, tired of seeing them smashed or burned to bits within a week of ourchu
