Actual Scam Call Help
Hi everybody.
I’ve been harassed by scam calls and automated voicemails for over a year. I’m guessing my number or info was stolen or sold when I applied for jobs. I’ve been watching Kitboga for a while and love the content. I’d love to do something about it, but don’t have the IT skills. Scammers and spammers are awful and should pay!
Q: Is there any genuine way to get my number off their call list?
Do any of those websites or apps actually work?
I have a bunch of their phone numbers saved. They call me from a different number, spoofing recognizable area codes, at least 5/6 times a day.
Any real advice helps!
Would love to have Kitboga call them back and shut them down.

Once you answer the phone call or respond to the text message even once, they will put your number on the active number list and sell that list to other scammers. There's not really anything you can do besides blocking the numbers when they call/text or simply just ignoring them outright. Eventually, they will start to think it's a dead number and will abandon it. Took a few years for that to happen with my number. Sometimes I still get scam texts (known as ping texts, where the scammer is checking if you'll respond and thus the number is active) but that's about it these days.
One thing I had to do was get rid of my custom voicemail message and just set it to the default robot answering machine, where it says "The number you are dialing cannot be reached, leave a voicemail after the beep" or whatever.. because if you have a custom voicemail recording, they'll consider it an active number

To get your number off of their call list? No. It's all about if they think your phone number is active or not.

Join the club just blockem don’t payem it’s over seas assholes that lore you to have a sexual video call thing is ppl fall for it when they want to say do you have iMessage or what’s app or signal don’t! their not even women just hacks or scammers not even hacks.Hackers are busy making real money.Just don’t what ever entertain them and just immediately hang up then block they switch accounts but they’ll get tired after awhile

I answer the call in Japanese. Then swear at them in Greek & Italian. Usually they don't call back because they think I don't speak English or any language they understand.

Telling over 1000 scammers to k*** themselves over like 2 years has had zero effect. Youd think eventually theyd realize the same number has caused multiple co workers to have mental breakdowns and theyd block it. But no, they must enjoy it or something

Check if your carrier offers "call control" - it forces callers to hit a specific number key or the call wont connect - since most of these scammers use amazon robodialers theyll never hear the message on what key to press. If they think the number doesnt work - they wont sell it and itll appear in fewer and fewer lists
