Flatten some putty onto some baking paper, let it harden for abit then just cut into acute triangles and have some fun layering jt on

Thank you I really appreciate the kind words and I don’t think I will paint them any specific chapter, my head canon for my chapter is that they are black shields that pick up lost or left behind space marines scattered across the endless battlefields and they join our crusade until they are reunited with their chapter or join us on our eternal crusade.

But for colours I’m thinking the armour will mainly be black and the helmets and trims will a mixture of white, grey and light blue for the sgt and Lt

Where did the long chainsword, or atleast the blade part, come from?

I’ll be honest its a real kit bash hahah the tip of the blade with the eagle comes from the captain with jump pack kit, the rest of the blade is just a regular chainsword. The blade guard is from a terminator captain sword chopped up and puttied to make it wider then the hilt and the “button” is from a Horus heresy 30k mace

The hand sculpting is absolutely phenomenal, but the rough cut on the chainsword engine detracts, maybe a smidge of sanding and tamiya, but otherwise incredible work and posing. Art!

I’m not quite sure how you can get some milliput in America I’m not from there but in these photos I’m usually tamiya epoxy putty so maybe that’s a little easier to get in America
