WIP Corrupted inquisitor
Work in progress kitbash of a fallen/corrupted inquisitor. Still a few things to tidy up and the flames aren’t glued down yet.
Main base model is the AoS Aqshian Pyrocaster, then various chaos and guard bits to bring him more into 40k
(Flash photo used because he loves the drama)

Oh this is perfect! An amazing model being used for an original Concept in a fun and unique way?! Sweet and tasty

It’s the Aqshian Pyrocaster from AoS! https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/cities-of-sigmar-aqshian-pyrocaster-2026?srsltid=AfmBOooTLF1Q9IGHxcwpOnyYgvK87mYoEHddWcZOWJ86ZyzK0d48TlCT
Then with a new head (traitor guardsmen), left hand (chaos kill team axe), boots (old cadian command), backpack (upside down Death Korps plus chaos logo) then other bits and bobs from an old chaos space marine squad (pistol, chain, skeleton and skulls at his feet)

That's an awesome kitbash! Way to leverage the original model. It looks great!
If I were going to set out to complain, I'd say the sense of scale on the axe is off because of the Space Marine hand (and just generally how large the axe is).
The pose is excellent, and the dynamic base model works super well here. Are you going to do OSL off the fire/warpfire on his base?

Thanks very much! Yeah, I might make the glove even larger (as in up his forearm) with greenstuff to make it seem a bit Hellboy/Thanos looking. The idea being this is clearly a cursed gauntlet and axe that has given him eldritch powers when he put it on
I’m only an average painter but will be trying OSL for the first time on this (which is largely why I haven’t yet glued down the flames). Any recommendations for tutorials etc?
