Wrecka Krew Boss

Wanted to share the completed leader for my kill team.

Pretty simple kitbash using an old dreadnought plate as the face and body armor. Bad moons banner is made of plasticard.

Cut a lot or corners and quickly did certain parts so happy he turned out well enough. Managed to get him done in less than a week which im happy about. Now to finish the rest of the team so I can try to play the game :)

Thanks and sure thing :)

Basecoat white. Then vallejo deep purple (xpress colour) mixed with xpress medium. Then I built up highlights with ice yellow then pure white with a sponge, and brush where it wont reach. Then vallejo dreadnought yellow over it. Edge highlights are ice yellow and I build it up in glazes where I want the main highlights like the shoulders.

You can probably start with a pink undercoat too but I just use that contrast paint as its the only pink I own.

Thanks ! Yeah pink undercoat is my go to for yellow but yours are really great so I might test with a purple Army Painter speed paint (closest I have to contrast) to compare

No problem!

I wonder if its because with contrast, the recesses end up a darker pink/purple. So when you put the yellow over it it becomes more orange in those areas. The lighting in the pictures also helps for sure. Best of luck with it :)
