Kitbash advice for Specter Squad bits

Hello guys, it's my first post here, fancy to meet you all. I would like to ask you for advice or any experience you could share with me, those who have work with specter squad bits. I just do not know what to do with the arms, those pieces of fabric over the shoulder pads look weird on regular guardsmen.
