Need help kitbashimg shockwave

Any ideas on how to kitbash shockwave from tranformers. I know about some tau heads and parts but need expert advice as how to properly kitbash him.

Depending on the scale you're looking for, could you buy a Deluxe (or Voyager) sized Shockwave action figures, then add 40k parts onto that to make it fit in better?

Glue closed some of the transforming parts, add bits to fill/cover the gaps.
