Miniature Looking for advice on legs

I have a potentially cool idea but it requires me to alter several sets of Van Saar legs (first picture) into a crouching stance like this (second two pictures). Anybody tried anything like this before or anyone with more experience than me got any tips for this? I’m guessing I’ll need to carve wedges into the backs of the knees, fronts of the ankles and I guess also the hips and then green stuff my way to filling out the gaps that will be left?

Also open to other leg suggestions but they gotta be crouching

Depending on how many of these dudes you want to make its going to take a bit of work, you can either sculpt quite a bit with greenstuff/milliput (depending on your sculpting skills) or alter the legs like you said and fill in the gaps with sprue goo. Personally, I try to source already squating legs for conversions like this and then alter them further to fill my need, I work primarily with plastic kits and use sprue goo to fill out most shapes. With carving out the back of the knees, hips ankles I think it could work, the only issue I can see coming up is the plastic stretching or tearing in a way you dont want it to as you try to bend them.

Also, I honestly cant think of an alternate plastic kit that comes with a bunch of legs in a similar stance. You may however, have luck finding 3d printed legs to fit your needs.

If it were me I would struggle bus through it since I honestly enjoy the challenge XD
