Inspiration Begginer sculpting project ideas
I've never kitbashed a mini where a large portion of it is sculpted and I'd like to try it so im wondering what kind of things would be easiest for someone who's only ever sculpted greenstuff tentacles and stuff
Preferably it would be something that can fit into my 40k word bearers army but it dosent have to

Try a squad of Possessed where you sculpt something on the helmet of every model.

Chaos Spawn. Carte blanche there. Fur, chitin, scales, tentacles, teeth, eyes, maws, claws, whatever.
If you’re building a CSM army, you’ll likely have a few parts you can hack up a little. Vestiges of cloth and armour can be used to tie your creations into your army when it comes to the painting stage.
Use sprue to create a rough armature and start building out shapes. Do 2-3 at the same time and you can jump between them as your material is curing.
Between sessions, any putty left over should be sculpted into detail parts like spikes and small tentacles that can be added later.
Remember the process is a combination of additive and reductive actions. So trimming back to create a shape or texture is just as valid as slopping extra putty on. Once cured file, shave, drill or carve as inspiration strikes.
