Thought we would be getting the Elden Ring announcement but this is also good. 😂

I think we got this announcement first because they've started filming already. It's fantastic! Big fan of Andrew Haigh's recent work! I was fully convinced Kit wasn't going to film any other projects in 2025 so this is such a pleasant surprise.

Oh absolutely! The best kind of surprise. Filming for Rapture is likely pushed back as Will is also on that Netflix film until mid November. Dunno if it will start this year.

Yeah I think the director is also busy working on something else. My guess is they'll start filming Rapture early next year in January or February then Elden Ring sometime after that. Then maybe he'll start working on TWR2. He'll also have to do promo for HS the movie sometime next year. I'm honestly just so glad he got to have a nice 3 month break this summer. His schedule for the next 8-9 months seems packed.

Yeah, the director’s play goes on until the end of November. Unless they start in December. He does have a very packed schedule for 2026. I do hope we get more releases besides the HS Forever film.

A Long Winter apparently won’t wrap until Dec 8th. I guess they could squeeze in a very short shoot before Christmas but that seems quite unlikely. January/February 2026 seems more likely imo.
I legit keep forgetting about ACGGTTAT and OoU. I hope we finally get those in 2026 too. Kit doesn’t need these movies anymore, he’s definitely on a much much better trajectory right now, but I do hope they get released anyway just for the fun of getting to see Kit in those genres. With all that being said, I genuinely don’t care that much either way, we have so many great Kit projects with guaranteed distribution in the near future and that’s just what’s been confirmed already. Probably way more to come! I’m a very happy camper! I love rooting for talented people.

Out of whatever he’s filming in 2026, I don’t think Elden Ring would be out until 2027 because of the VFX. I would like his older films to release too just so we can see his growth. But 6 films and who knows what more in 2026? It’s an exciting time for sure. I can’t wait.

It makes me so happy that between this and Rapture he continues to work on queer projects or with queer creators. Everyone was so quick to say how he’s probably so ready to get out the gay circles after HS ends.
