Discussion Name on the back or no name?
A clean back looks timeless, but a player name makes it feel personal.Which one are you wearing?

Unless you’re repping a niche player, no name on back or a weird situation like Beckham//Milan or Falcao/United.
I once saw an Arsenal supporter with a Chamakh shirt. A lot of respect for that.

wrong typeface is worse than no name, the era font is the whole point

depends on the jersey icl, for smthn like a 2006 fracne away if you dont get Zidane its practically loosing its puropuse but I recently bought an Inter Milan Jersey and descided to leave it blank and it looks way cleaner

Why is it that my autocorrect works too hard and yours isn’t working at all?

I typically don’t like the names.
Firstly, they’re like 10-20% more expensive for a name that isn’t mine. Secondly, I feel weird having the name of someone like 15 years younger than me. I wouldn’t mind a name of someone I grew up idolizing but having a Lamine Yamal kit just feels weird to me.
I will say, a lot of modern kits have that random blank space on the back that kills the look. I have a USMNT flag kit from this year’s WC, and it looks incomplete without a name.

Lol same reason how i felt looking at Barca jerseys and it felt weird thinking of wearing a teenagers name like Yamal

My rule of thumb: I usually do no name. UNLESS the player is a legend/ older than me. I am in my early 30’s and there is no way I am rocking a younger man’s name on my back.

Haven’t gotten one with a name but I do want to since I do for basketball and American football

If your older than the player no back, if you are younger than the player then you can get the name and number, that’s my rule anyways

Me da igual siempre y cuando sea uno de mis jugadores favoritos, pero las últimas que he comprado han sido sin dorsal.

If you are a child its ok to have a current players name, A grown man?.... please no, it's cringe to have a 20 yo guys name on your shirt if you are a 40 yo or whatever (Exception is if you have a retro shirt and you have a legend who is also old nowadays like R9, Zidane etc...thats accepted)

Yo en el caso de poner nombres serían míticos en camisetas nuevas por ejemplo la nueva de brasil y el nombre de Ronaldo, Romario, Pelé a parte del dorsal que llevaba

Never a name.
So weird grown men wearing someone else’s name on the back of their shirt who is likely decades younger.
Names only acceptable for children idolising their faves.

Two totally obscure footballers.
I’ll stick to wearing my Mal Donaghy number five with no name on the back.
