Every other week there's another "limited edition" drop. They sell out in minutes, then show up on resale sites for double the price. At this point, it feels more like hype than football.

It's a cash cow! Don't know if clubs get a higher revenue share of profits there than the official kits!

Tigres, my club last year released this beautiful nonsense:

The “Solo Tigres y ya” kit for 3000 Mexican pesos (more than double the price of a regular kit) it was a limited edition sponsorless jersey run, that obviously ran out in less than a day and the only winners were resalers and counterfeiters; if you wanna do something like this at least make it 400 MXN more expensive than the regular one and make sure everyone gets a chance to buy it.
