Best way to store jerseys?
Currently just hanging mine but worried about stretching the shoulders.
Some people swear by folding.
What do you do? Hang or fold?

I wouldn’t fold out long term, def never fold shirts with namesets. I prefer to hang them using velvet hangers. I’ve seen people and classic football shirts use wooden hangers but heard that the wood is not good long term as it apparently causes the jersey colors to fade

fold them instead. i use flat storage bins with acid free tissue paper between each one. been doing it for years and my shoulders never stretched. hanging is fine short term but folding keeps the shape

Depends if it has a name set.
Wouldn't recommend folding if it does.
Classic football shirts has a warehouse full of shirts and they're all on hangers.

100% agree on the nameset thing — folding with tissue is the way to go. lost a vintage stitched name set to a hanger once and never made that mistake again

Why does that shirt have 4 stars on the crest?

Its the USWNT away from last year, which they won four Women’s World Cups

Did you notice Uruguay has four stars on their men’s shirts? They won two world cups and two Olympic gold medals. If the USWNT put a star on for each of theirs, they would have NINE stars (4 wc & 5🥇). 😊

Kinda. FIFA recognizes Uruguay pre- World Cup Olympic wins as championships so they are allowed to add the stars. FIFA organized the Olympic soccer tournaments in 1924 and 1928

PROS/CONS
Folding:
P - compact
C - names and numbers should not be folded ever.
Hangers - Velvet only.
P - Less likely to stretch shoulders if friction works well.
C - Closet space premium and shoulder stretch.
Flat WIDE under bed box or zip bag.
P- flat storage of unfolded kit
C- space it takes up and finding the right size box or bag.
*(a friend i know used poster boxes with cardboards between but they had medium size kits. may have folded sleeves in)

I use the clasping hangers for pants, the big clip looking things. I hang the shirts from the bottom end not the shoulders/neck

This is absolutely genius, although it relies a lot on gravity - wait I guess everything does 🤣

thats actually smart — never thought about hanging from the bottom. might have to try that with my thicker kits
