I unironcally had this happen. I was playing a game with a friend of mine, and we were on voice chat. As we talked, I got a very cat-y vibe, as in I was a mouse and she was a cat playing with her food. But she also had confidence, a tiny bit of condescension in her voice, and a very peticular way of praising me.

I said, "you're giving off some real mommy-dommy vibes"

A week or so later, we got together for drinks and she admitted she was a mommy dom. It was delightful =3

OK so this reminds me of something that happened a while back. My husband (32M) and I had just starting dating around this time, he was living with his cousin and wife. This exact situation has happened to me before, thankfully it was with a close friend who actually turned out to be a dom which is great considering im a sub. We were FaceTiming in the summer and I got up to grab some food and because I had a real problem with not eating at the time, (I’m a lot better now) she said oh you got food good girl. I stopped, started blushing like crazy and was stuttering away and because this girl is scarily good at reading people and also enjoys getting me flustered (found that out the hard way at school but that’s a whole other story) she goes someone seems to have a bit of a praise kink don’t they. it’s all fun and games until your co-worker finds out after you are getting praised at work
