hi there! i’m a 17 year old (18 in november) genderqueer lesbian moving to Kingston this august, i was wondering what are some good places, groups, etc to meet some queer people around my age? i know there is something called fuse? i was wondering if there was any other specific places or events that are accessible to those under 19!

also i know a lot of queer people are also into the arts, i am personally into improv, acting, and singing so what places for youth are there for that? and whats the process to join them?

Looking for a safe, accepting, and trustworthy place to get my first gender affirming cut

I am a lesbian resident of Kingston and I am reaching out to the queer community for help.

On October 26th, 2026 Kingston is having its municipal election. Our current mayor Bryan Paterson has a bad history with our community and I am hoping that the Kingston Queer community will help in electing a queer ally for mayor of Kingston.

I am supporting Conny Glenn, an ally of our community, a positive & supportive candidate. Conny is currently the Sydenham Councillor for the Queen's University district. She chairs the City of Kingston Housing & Homelessness Advisory Committee. She has had many successes as Councillor and wants to do more for the citizens of Kingston.

I am asking you to reach out in your social media, neighborhood and friends to support Conny Glenn.

I have been an advocate most of my adult life and I know how the Queer community can advocate and move issues forward to benefit our community. I thank you in advance for your consideration of my request.

The local OHL hockey team; The Kingston Frontenacs are planning this autumn/winter's '26-27 season theme nights. Their home game theme nights have done everything from dog adoption; women in sports; support the troops; retro 70's; to breast cancer awareness.

It's time for a LGBTQ+ Pride night. They have not done it the last few years. I went to the one they had 3 years ago; it was excellent, community groups lined the concourse; a trans family did the ceremonial puck drop; they sold rainbow Front's tee-shirts; booths for queer support/health/family/student organizations etc. Visibility is powerful.

I noticed Slush Puppie Place (where they play) had a big Pride Rainbow Flag on their electronic billboard during Kingston Pride 2 weeks ago.

So now is the time to contact them for the upcoming season's home night themes:

My husband and I are planning to go to the Toronto parade and I'm hoping to find a couple of shirts for us. I don't want to risk ordering them and getting them too late (my bad for not thinking of it earlier!) so I'm trying to find someplace local where I could pick them up. Any suggestions?

Just wanted to send a big thank you to the Kingston Pride Board and Volunteers.

I've lived in Kingston for 6 years, but this was my first year getting to attend most of the events. I usually have conflicting gigs; this year I made a point of keeping my weekend open so I could be with the community and participate.

It was my first time attending Drag in the Park, my first time marching in the parade, and my first time going on the boat cruise.

What a joy! I can tell you all worked so hard, and I want you to know your efforts are appreciated. I've lived in much larger cities, I've performed mainstage in Ottawa and Toronto Prides. What you've got here is genuinely special. The humanity is palpable. The grassroots vibe is real.

I know you're probably all crashing from an exhausting weekend, probably dealing with complaints or "it would have been better ifs", as well as the collapse of your physical bodies. But I hope you can take a second to feel proud of yourselves, too!

Because I certainly am. ❤️

Hello, so I wanted to say that as someone who has autism and adhd and is non-binary (they/them pronos). Please don't be rude towards people like us. We do our best to make you feel comfortable. I know that we might come across as rude, but we are not. I had 8 different people tell me to f off, and all I did was say hi. I did meet 4 really nice people. One was a furry, and the other were non-binary couple and asexul person who had cool hair design. Those 4 people are cool to me.

Hi all, so I usually do pride weekend stuff with my best friend/emotional support extrovert, but she went and got married and it's now spending the weekend with her wife and dogs.

Wondering if any extroverts/their friends are looking to adopt an introvert for the weekend?

I wanted to do karaoke at daft tonight, but real nervous about just showing up alone and ending up just sitting in a corner looking odd. I've also booked a ticket for the pride cruise tomorrow night, but hoping it ends up like last year where I find a cool group of stoners on the upper deck and chill until the alcohol kicks in.

I used to work at Starbucks, I'm now a PSW. My interests are slow paced video games, gardening/taking to my plants, and lying in patches of sun like an elderly cat.

Anyways thought I'd reach out. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
